I assisted the DP and 2nd Cam Op with camera rig assembly, lens and battery changes, set dressing, talent management, slate, and more on a 2-camera, on-location shoot with RED Dragon and Komodo.

I worked with the Camera Operator and Director of Photography to pull focus wirelessly on a variety of shots using the Tilta Nucleus M and monitor with Teradek transmitter. I also built the camera (RED Komodo); rig Dana Dolly, handheld, and sticks shots; manage batteries, lenses, and media; and properly stow all equipment.

Using the DJI Mavic 3, I captured cinematic aerial footage of Greensboro College to highlight its proximity to downtown Greensboro, as well as epic footage of the Pride's homecoming football game complete with incredible foreground use and timing.

I operated the Canon C70 handheld and on the DJI RS2 to capture moments from a wide range of events at the Greensboro College Homecoming. From the football team's entrance onto the field to lacrosse action, variety shows, and a 1920's-themed gala, I moved efficiently to capture representative moments from the day's events.

I assisted the 1st AD, grips, camera operator, and director in various tasks, from building and operating Aputure and ARRI lights to setting up crafty, sweeping floors, and operating set pieces.

Using my Canon C70 handheld rig, I shot cinematic behind-the-scenes footage for Elements Studio of an ad they shot for a performance mattress company. This included on-location shots at a modern luxury home and on-location at the manufacturer's showroom, offices, and factory.

I designed 2 sets, lit the scenes, operated the A camera, managed a teleprompter, and directed a crew of 4, including a second camera operator, in filming a professional presenter for 12 intro/explainer shorts for an online course.

I lit, managed audio, shot, and conducted interviews with residents, parents, and staff at an apartment aimed at upper-grade college students. I then shot additional b-roll of residents moving in, staff assisting, and the apartment amenities.

I operated a DJI drone to capture footage of windows and doors on a residence, wide shots of the home, and the lake adjacent to the home for a window and door promotional video.

I lit and shot footage of windows and doors in a residence using a Canon C70 and Ronin RS2 rig. I exposed for interior/exterior balance as requested by the client and provided a variety of push in, parallax, pan, and dolly shots.

This project involved 4 interviews and related b-roll capture. I selected shot locations, placed and framed subjects, lit the scene and directed the on-set grip, set up 4-channel audio with boom and lav mics, directed subjects, and interviewed the subjects organically. I then used a Ronin RS2 gimbal with the C70 to capture wide and detail shots of a staged model home interior and exterior at various times of day.

I captured comprehensive footage on each day of the Inaugural US Adaptive Open (golf) at Pinehurst #6, using my handheld C70 rig with a flowline (easyrig) system. I shot wide and detail shots of the course, facilities, practice areas, and crowd, then focused on following 2 different adaptive golfers and their caddies throughout the 3-day championship. I conducted 18 interviews following the tournament, including the golfers and their friends, families, and caddies. I utilized the on-site media center and information sheets to ensure I knew exactly where every golfer was at all times, and I didn't miss a single moment or interview on my list. This project involved 15-20 miles of walking with a full camera rig in 100-degree heat and direct sun, solo, without the opportunity to stop for fresh batteries or supplies. I purpose-built a rig (v-mount batteries were essential!) and supply system to ensure I wouldn't run out of power or lose track of one of my subjects.

This was a 30-second spot for the client's mixology website. I selected shot locations, scripted and storyboarded the project, framed and lit the subject, staged and styled the cocktail-making ingredients/supplies, and utilized a tripod, Ronin RS2 gimbal, and handheld rig to capture face-to-camera and tight b-roll.

I utilized available natural light, LED panels, reflectors, and other equipment to shape scenes' lighting to the DP's specifications. In addition, I supported the DP in all other aspects of production, including sound treatment, shot and location selection, set design, and client/talent management.

I created an online course and social content plan for the Stanley Institute for Comprehensive Dentistry, designed and built a studio at their office (including set design, lighting, and audio management), and script, film, edit, and upload weekly YouTube content. I've generated a 500% increase in the Institute's YouTube growth rate, and our online course plan is proceeding ahead of schedule.

I supported the DP and sound mixer in all aspects of production, including lighting (natural, ambient, reflector, Aputure lights with lantern and dome modifiers, sound treatment, shot and location selection, equipment management (including carrying the heavy stuff!), client interactions, and more.

I created this video for Sciencix, a Minnesota company that manufactures repair parts for scientific equipment. Sciencix wanted a new homepage video that could immediately establish trust with new site visitors and potential customers. I worked with the CEO and Marketing Director to identify customers' primary concerns when choosing a supplier, addressed them in an efficient script, and handled the logistics of getting a studio's worth of gear to another state in a cost-effective manner. Finally, I shot the entire video in one day, including macro product shots, b-roll, and even self-filming (they asked me to be the main talent). Sciencix was thrilled with the video, and they've shared positive feedback from their customers as well.

I was hired by Beaver Boys director and Bollywood star, Jeffrey Ho, to put together a crew and shoot the film. Working with a shoestring budget, I served as Director of Photography and found, hired, and directed a 3-person crew, including a sound mixer, grip, and additional production assistant. I rigged and filmed over 300 individual shots, including an underwater scene, freehand whip-pan, full-speed woods pursuit shot, and more. With only 3 days to shoot a nearly 20-minute film, we already faced a challenge. These were exacerbated by 97-degree heat, direct sun, constant background noise, and even a sick co-star who had to miss an entire day of production. Still, we pushed through and created a comedic success that has been featured at over 25 film festivals, winning over a dozen awards to date.

While working at JRA, a marketing agency, I was tasked with increasing hot tub removal bookings for our client, Junk Doctors. To meet this need, I came up with the idea for a video ad to be promoted on Facebook. I single-handedly wrote the script; storyboarded and pitched the idea; found, auditioned, and hired the actors; scouted the location; created the shot list and itinerary; and designed and built all our props in just under three weeks. Working with an untrained crew, I then directed the shoot, served as Director of Photography, and edited the video, including VFX. I then launched the social media ads, which generated over $50,000 in revenue, over 300,000 video views, and an ROI of over 2000%.
