Corporate Events
You will have the exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of event planning and management within a corporate setting. This role will allow you to assist in organizing and executing a variety of events, from conferences and meetings to team-building activities and special celebrations. By supporting the events team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of each event through your attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to creating memorable experiences for attendees. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the event industry, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring corporate events to life.
Internal Communications
You will support internal communications and employee engagement through the coordination of employee events and activations, as well as content creation for various internal platforms. This encompasses several channels such as newsletters, social *** platforms, TV channel, emails, digital signage, and intranet, among others. Additionally, you'll support the Health & Wellness and EcoGreen Sustainability initiatives in the building including but not limited to sourcing vendors, processing vendor requests in the system, executing monthly wellness activities, providing ideas on green activities, and promoting sessions to educate and engage employees on such efforts.
Corporate & External Affairs
You will be responsible for the coordination of El Poder En Ti ( *** 's community engagement brand) and Mujeres Imparables marketing and communications assets across a variety of campaigns/initiatives. You'll support with amplification and promotion of initiatives, resources, and campaigns across *** El Poder En Ti's social and digital touch points. You'll support with on-site logistics and coordination for Corporate Affairs events at *** Center and support with ad-hoc projects and day-to-day administrative tasks on behalf of the Corporate Affairs team, including, but not limited to, marketing premium inventory updating, meeting, and/or activation recaps, among others.
Publicity
The Publicity Team oversees developing and executing the PR strategies for our programming launches and on-air priorities. The team works closely with *** and i *** uencers to amplify key messaging and expand audience reach. Among other things, projects will involve working with the lead publicist around productions and premieres including tasks such as, but not limited to, *** outreach and development of press materials, coordination of logistics for press interviews, press junkets, talent arrangements, and others. Monitoring clip articles and reporting. You will also support i *** uencer activations and initiatives from ideation to execution, and talent discovery through content creator software.
QualificationsBasic Requirements:- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2024 through April 2025). December 2024 graduates are not eligible for our 2024-2025 Academic Year Program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship (September 2024 to April 2025). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be available to work 20 hours per week from September 16, 2024 - April 18, 2025.
- Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.
Desired Characteristics:- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and event attendees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading in English and Spanish.
- Graphic design skills with knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Canva.
- Familiarity with content management tools (ex. SharePoint, Campaign Monitor, or similar)
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.00.
INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ATTENDING U.S. UNIVERSITIES:To participate in *** Universal's 2024-2025 Academic Year internship program, you must confirm at the time of interview that you will be able to provide US work authorization documentation for the entire duration of the internship. Since the *** U Academic Year Internship Program spans the traditional "Fall" and "Spring" semesters, you should talk to the DSO at your school's International Students Services Office about your need to apply for CPT work authorization twice to ensure you are authorized to work both semesters and throughout the entirety of the program.
Please also note that future visa sponsorship at *** Universal is rarely available for post-grad employment opportunities.
