Ad Sales Partnerships
As an Ad Sales and Partnerships Intern, you will experience the process of connecting Ad Sales initiatives to our robust portfolio, providing business partners opportunities that leverage our valuable audiences through compelling content and unique experiences. You will work closely with our team to identify new opportunities, build strong relationships, and streamline communication channels. You will be exposed to various departments/stakeholders and learn how we collaborate to create new revenue streams for the company. You will also be exposed to foundational experience in production coordination, project management, sales operations, and inventory logistics when assisting for *** 's shoppable segments.
Project Management
Within the Project Management team of *** , you will work closely with Technical Project Managers to deliver end to end projects for *** Operations & Technology. You will identify areas of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of ser *** to our clients. You will work with other teams to document tools and processes and improve production workflows and efficiency.
Production Services
Production Services is a unique environment providing end to end understanding of productions from scripted to daily shows. We collaborate with all teams to grow new revenue streams, implement new shows, and maximize *** Center's capacity. You will support the Production Services outreach effort to promote our services on social *** . You'll analyze the market and recommend positioning of our services. Additionally you will keep organized our current catalog of sets, enhance the efficiency of data collection process, and provide recommendation on website optimization.
Production Management
Production Management works with our creative teams providing support to all the ongoing production teams, ensuring smooth operations, on compliance, on time and within budget. Our operation includes 4 Daily Live Shows, Specials like Billboards and Miss Universe, Reality Shows for *** , Unscripted Productions for T-Plus for *** and Scripted Shows for *** Television *** and *** Streaming *** . You will learn how to create and execute production schedules, review and analyze production budgets and schedules coming from third party production companies. You will assist the Compliance Production Manager to ensure productions adhere to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures.
*** Streaming *** , Unscripted
*** Streaming *** (TSS), a unit of *** Universal, produces English and Spanish-language films, documentaries, TV series and digital content for VOD platforms in Latin America as well as general audiences in the US and around the world. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment industry, working alongside industry professionals on a variety of exciting projects. Our biggest task at hand is building a slate focused on True Crime, Sports, Music, and character driven, popular culture stories. You will collaborate with the department manager to manage project submissions, sort, and upload materials to tracking tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This may include video footage, interviews, and other relevant content. You will also conduct thorough research on industry trends, current events, and popular culture topics as needed to support department initiatives and project development.
QualificationsBasic Requirements:- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2024 through April 2025). December 2024 graduates are not eligible for our 2024-2025 Academic Year Program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship (September 2024 to April 2025). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be available to work 20 hours per week from September 16, 2024 - April 18, 2025.
- Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.
Desired Characteristics:- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Prior experience tracking and organizing multiple projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Basic Understanding of Project Management software such as Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet, Monday or similar.
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.00.
INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ATTENDING U.S. UNIVERSITIES:To participate in *** Universal's 2024-2025 Academic Year internship program, you must confirm at the time of interview that you will be able to provide US work authorization documentation for the entire duration of the internship. Since the *** U Academic Year Internship Program spans the traditional "Fall" and "Spring" semesters, you should talk to the DSO at your school's International Students Services Office about your need to apply for CPT work authorization twice to ensure you are authorized to work both semesters and throughout the entirety of the program.
Please also note that future visa sponsorship at *** Universal is rarely available for post-grad employment opportunities.
