Key Responsibilities: - Originate, research, write, produce, manage and edit news segments for television and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with *** Pittsburgh's team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of news stories.
- Work both in the control room demonstrating adaptability and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Adaptability and innovation, constantly seeking new ideas and approaches to connect with our audience.
- Contribute to the station's goal of growing digital-first content.
- Curate a creative and inclusive work environment that encourages fresh ideas and community engagement.
- Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.
- Exhibit strong editorial judgment, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
Requirements: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in broadcast or cable news.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; knowledge of iNews, Grass Valley Stratus and Edius preferred
- Proven background in journalism and television production, including solid news judgment, rundown management, and concise broadcast writing.
- Prior experience working in a live control room, including serving as a Line Producer in a live-news environment.
- Willingness to work all shifts
- A passion for connecting with the Pittsburgh community and fostering audience development.
