Job Summary/Description:

**** 12 News is looking for an experienced Multi *** Journalist/Reporter to join our award-winning team in Montgomery. The candidate will be responsible for covering local news stories for our newscasts, website, and news app. Candidate must be a team player, able to juggle multiple deadlines, and have experience covering breaking news. We are looking for someone who can shoot, write, and edit for TV and all digital platforms. This position will include working weekends.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Shooting, writing, and editing daily content for newscasts and website
- Knowledge of ENPS is a plus
- Ability to write news content for television and a different digital version
- Ability to handle breaking news and live reporting
- Generating story ideas and building local contacts
- Performing other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Requirements:

- At least 2 years as a MMJ in a television newsroom
- Journalism or Communications degree preferred
- Computer literacy, including newsroom computer systems
- Knowledge of central Alabama communities, issues, and coverage opportunities
- Experience in a television newsroom
- Must have a good driving record

Job Summary/Description:

**** 12 News is searching for an Alabama State Capitol Correspondent to report live daily for the five *** stations in Alabama. This dynamic reporter will lead our coverage of statewide/political news from the Alabama capitol in Montgomery. The successful candidate must have at least two years of reporting experience and prior experience covering politics is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, and be able to juggle many deadlines on air and online. The successful candidate will be the Alabama Political Reporter reporting daily on ****/Birmingham, ****/Montgomery, ****/Huntsville, ****/Mobile, ****/Dothan, and ****/Columbus.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Previous experience covering politics is preferred as well as interest in investigative and public policy journalism
- Developing contacts, breaking stories, and developing investigations with statewide impact is a must
- Candidates should have MMJ skills and a proven track record doing multiple live reports for all five stations daily
- Time management is critical as is the ability to turn stories quickly for multiple newscasts
- Some statewide travel will also be part of this job
- The reporter will be expected to provide expert analysis of complicated statewide issues and will play a large role in election coverage
- We have built a large social *** following and expect this reporter to have demonstrable digital skills including experience writing long-form digital stories, working with Twitter followers and Facebook fans
- This is a unique opportunity for a reporter looking to quickly make an impact on several market-leading news operations

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
- 2+ years experience writing, producing, shooting, and editing video content for newscasts

Job Summary/Description:

We are looking for someone to support the company's data networks, data centers, voice, platforms, circuits, and associated systems. The position will report to the Senior Director of IT Infrastructure. This is a "remote" position but in the Montgomery, Al area.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Cisco/Meraki stack (switches, firewalls, routers, wireless) or HP/Aruba equipment. Will consider other hardware platforms
- Voice experience with Cisco or Avaya a plus
- Ability and willingness to work outside normal hours as needed
- Ability to travel as needed
- Experience with network management tools
- Communicate effectively and work in a team environment

Qualifications/Requirements:

- At least 5 years of networking engineering experience in the above or comparable technology stacks
- Strong problem-solving experience

Job Summary/Description:

*** Television is seeking a talented NextGen Television Software Developer to join our team and help redefine the way people experience television. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our NextGen television platform that will shape the future of entertainment and transform the TV viewing experience. This position reports to our Director of IT Applications in Montgomery, Alabama. This position can work from any of our corporate office locations in Montgomery, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Tallahassee, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Shift/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Collaborate with our NextGen Technology and Digital teams to define project requirements and develop software solutions for our NextGen television platforms.
- Design and implement interactive and engaging user interfaces for television applications using the latest technologies and frameworks.
- Implement features such as localized weather, news, and other personalized content to enhance the viewer experience.
- Optimize performance and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the software across different devices and platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices in NextGen television technology and incorporate them into our development process.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or other software development-related fields.
