About The Missouri Bureau:
The Jefferson City, MO *** capitol bureau does political news for more viewers than any other television news position in the state of Missouri. The Missouri *** stations include **** in St. Louis, **** in Kansas City, KY3/**** in Springfield, **** in Cape Girardeau, and **** in Quincy, IL. The bureau has two multi- *** journalists who do daily coverage for all five stations.
Internship Summary/Description:
The Jefferson City *** Capitol Bureau in Missouri offers an u *** ecedented opportunity for students to learn an area of broadcast expertise from seasoned professionals in the business. If you are interested in covering political news, this bureau becomes a hands-on learning environment for *** Television interns.
Bureau interns would work a couple of days a week in our office near the state Capitol building in Jefferson City. You would help with coverage of political news, House and Senate meetings and debates, and interview lawmakers. If we have an employee doing it, there can be a *** intern learning and earning. Not only will you walk away with an expanded resume and portfolio, but *** 's paid internship opens doors to begin your full-time career with *** Television.

Internship Qualifications/Requirements:
- Interest in journalism and the broadcast field.
- Pursuing a journalism degree or related.
- Available to work 10-15 hours a week throughout the semester (or as Supervisor assigns)
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- A team player willing to work collaboratively with other newsroom members.
