Job Summary/Description:
****/**** in Augusta, Georgia has an im *** te opening for a full-time news producer to join our news team. Applicants will be responsible for locating, generating, writing local, regional, and national news stories. Successful candidates possess good news judgment, willingness and ability to work independently and as part of a team, solid broadcast style writing, and accuracy to detail under tight deadlines.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Pitching, writing, developing, and showcasing news stories.
- Organizing various elements of a newscast.
- Showcasing content with graphics, video, and station branding.
- Writing clearly in broadcast style with attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrating responsible editorial and ethical judgment and knowledge of *** law.
- Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and managers to carry out a vision of a compelling newscast that's strong on content and creativity.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in journalism or mass communications with a concentration in broadcast journalism.
- Hands-on experience with a television newsroom internship and/or campus newscast is strongly preferred.
